Description
J&S Inspections Company is hiring a full-time Distribution Inspector. Travel Required.
Job Duties
- Conducts inspections of completed projects in accordance with the Distribution Construction Standards
- Evaluates the completed project by comparing constructed units against the construction unit manual to ensure accuracy
- Examines line construction projects to confirm adherence to approved construction methods, including the secure installation of grounding systems and proper crimping of connectors
- Reviews 'as-built' redline drawings to ensure they accurately reflect the actual field installation
- Prepares and submits necessary reports and updates to Management as required
- Throughout the inspection, the inspector will document and capture photos of equipment that does not meet installation standards

Requirements
Familiar with distribution line construction techniques
Travel necessary
Knowledge of overhead construction requires, underground knowledge a plus
Capable of reading and interpreting Distribution Construction Engineering drawings.
Knowledgeable of Distribution Construction Standards.
Capable of preparing necessary reports.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software.
Able to update documents as needed.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with Line and Engineering teams in addressing and resolving construction-related issues.
Must pass a background check and driving record verification.
OSHA 30 certification is preferred but not mandatory.
