Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Provide recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assist in policy development to support these initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Collaborate with financial team and senior management to set goals, objectives, and budgets.
• Coordinate with tax professionals and technology experts.
• Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting any key trends or potential issues.
• Implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the financial industry and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to manage large teams and interact with senior leadership.
• Experience with financial software and reporting systems.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
