Job Title: Tool and Die Maker – 1st Shift
Pay: $30-$35 based on experience
Location: Middletown
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Industry: Metal Stamping

A reputable well established metal stamping company located in the Middletown area, known for commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Position Summary:
The Tool and Die Maker will be responsible for die maintenance, repair, rework, and fabrication of components to ensure tooling is production ready. This position requires a high level of craftsmanship, precision, and collaboration to support our manufacturing processes and maintain high product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repair, maintenance, and rework of dies as needed
  • Machine new parts for dies and perform changeovers for different production runs
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
  • Fabricate tooling components from written or verbal instructions
  • Set up and operate machine shop equipment (grinders, mills, lathes, etc.)
  • Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure tolerances
  • Troubleshoot and maintain dies and tooling components to support uptime
  • Perform preventative maintenance and maintain inventory of spare parts
  • Accurately document tooling repairs, modifications, and development
  • Collaborate with apprentices and mentor less-experienced team members
  • Use CAD software when needed (SolidWorks experience preferred)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and wear required PPE
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing or stamping environment
  • Proficiency with machine shop equipment and precision measuring tools
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
