Facility:

The facility features a Level III NICU with 14 private rooms that include accommodations for parents/guardians and an in-house Ronald McDonald respite area for families. The NICU has an average daily census of 8 patients and includes an in-house NICU transport team. The regional service area consists of 25 Clinics & 7 Hospitals, providing comprehensive care to the surrounding communities.

Opportunity: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

This role offers the chance to join a Neonatology team that values compassion and teamwork in caring for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Job Details:

  • Casual (PRN) Status
  • 12-hour shifts from 7-7, eventually rotating between day and night shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a)
  • Independent work with physician on-call availability for questions or to be physically present within 20 minutes
  • Ability to care for severely ill babies down to 23 weeks gestation
  • Perform procedures including intubation, chest tube placement, umbilical line placement, PICC placement, peripheral arterial line placement, and LPs
  • Utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills
  • Work independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide health care emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention
  • Master's or Doctorate degree required in Nurse Practitioner program
  • Previous experience working in a Level 3 or 4 NICU preferred
  • Current licensure as registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner
  • CPR and NRP Certification required
  • National certification in applicable area
