Section Chair for Urgent Care and Walk-In Clinic

Job Details:
• Work under the direction of the Division Chair for Primary Care to support leading standard work in quality, patient experience, access, recruitment, and retention• Must perform clinical work in the section, rotating between Detroit Lakes Urgent Care and Park Rapids HWY34 Walk-In departments• Lead and monitor the Section's performance in meeting clinical quality and safety standards• Drive service excellence and participate in investigating/resolving patient quality/safety/service-reported events• Collaborate with Physician and Professional Services regarding performance issues• Participate in Professional Practice Evaluation activities as needed• Develop agenda and chair regularly scheduled Section meetings in collaboration with Administrative Dyad Partner• Facilitate bi-directional communication between Division leadership and the Section• Encourage clinical excellence via educational activity, development of new services, and opportunities for teaching and research• Support developing and implementing sustainable clinical care pathways that promote the Quadruple Aim• Participate in Cost per Unit of Service action plans• Monitor coding and documentation performance, collaborate with Advisors to lead practice improvement• Promote clinical care models that support access and efficiency• Identify and develop emerging leaders• Facilitate onboarding, feedback, and development conversations• Mentor colleagues and support retention efforts• Must be an Essentia Health employed Physician, PA, or NP in good standing• Must be an active member of the medical staff before starting• Must serve as an exemplary role model and servant leader• Required education: MD, DO, MBBS, or DPM for physicians; master's degree for PAs; MSN for NPs• Must maintain current licensure in applicable state(s) and board certification in appropriate clinical specialty

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
