About the Role

This is a fast-paced position where the PA plays a vital role in evaluating patients, making diagnoses, ordering tests, providing treatments, and determining appropriate outcomes (admission, discharge, or transfer). The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and assess patient health.
• Diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans.
• Order and interpret lab tests and imaging studies.
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education.
• Assist in medical procedures and emergencies.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Follow established protocols and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have urgent care and/or emergency room experience.
• Current Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Not accepting new graduates.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
