Locums NP/PA - Urgent Care No Call Boone, NCWhy This Role

• Outpatient-only urgent care coverage with no call
• Full EMR support and streamlined Epic training
• Work independently with dedicated support staff
• Need to live within 65-mile radius of facilities
Assignment Details
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: No Call
• Schedule: 11a-11p or as assigned (outpatient shifts)
• Setting: Urgent Care Center
• EMR: Epic
• Privileges: Not required
• Estimated Credentialing: 20 days
• Patient Volumes: Average 20/day (up to 40 max)
• Support Staff: Center Manager, MA, PSA; supervising physician available offsite
Requirements
• Board Certified NP or PA (NCCPA or NP boards)
• Active North Carolina license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 12 months of urgent care or acute care experience
• Strong communication and independent practice skills
• Local candidates
Clinical Details
• See and treat both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older)
• Common urgent care procedures:
- Incision & drainage - Laceration repair - Ear irrigation - Other minor procedures
• Provider functions as the sole clinician on shift with support staff
Compensation
• Rates: Facility is accepting bids
• Malpractice: Provided
• Travel: Not reimbursed
