Your Specialized Role: Adolescent and Family Therapist

Sana Lake is expanding its specialized services for adolescents and seeks a highly skilled and passionate Adolescent and Family Therapist to join our clinical team. This role is essential to our mission, focusing on engaging young people and empowering their families through specialized, evidence-based practices.

As an Adolescent and Family Therapist, you will manage a dedicated caseload of adolescents and their families, providing specialized, intensive clinical services, including:

• Individual Adolescent Therapy: Utilizing various modalities, including Play Therapy, expressive arts, and cognitive-behavioral techniques, to address trauma, substance use, anxiety, and behavioral issues in a way that resonates with developmental stages.

• Family Systems Therapy: Conducting intensive family counseling sessions to address the systemic impact of SUD and mental health issues, improving communication, boundary setting, and relational health.

• Specialized Group Counseling: Designing and leading age-appropriate therapeutic groups focused on emotional regulation, peer relationships, skill-building, and recovery support for adolescents.

• Comprehensive Assessment and Diagnosis: Conducting thorough bio-psychosocial and developmental assessments to inform individualized treatment planning and accurate diagnosis for the adolescent.

• Collaborative Treatment Planning: Working closely with the multidisciplinary Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and coordinate seamless discharge planning that integrates the family unit.

• Clinical Communication: Maintaining critical communication loops with team members, family systems, schools, referral sources, and other service providers to ensure holistic member care.

We Would Love to Learn More About You If You Possess:

Essential Clinical Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted LPC or LCSW license.

• Certification or advanced training in Play Therapy (e.g., Registered Play Therapist - RPT or RPT-S)

• Proven clinical experience working with the adolescent population and their families.

• Experience in treating or supporting families dealing with a primary or co-occurring Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

Key Knowledge and Skills:

• Deep familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) documentation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of adolescent development, family systems theory, and recovery principles.

• An understanding of the principles of trauma-informed care and how they apply to treating youth and family systems.
