Your Specialized Role: Trauma Therapist

Sana Lake is expanding rapidly and seeks a highly skilled and passionate Trauma Therapist to join our clinical team. This role is essential to our mission, directly addressing the underlying trauma that fuels substance use and co-occurring disorders.

As a Trauma Therapist, you will manage a dedicated caseload, providing specialized, intensive clinical services to individuals and families, including:

  • Individual Trauma and Co-Occurring Therapy: Utilizing advanced, evidence-based trauma modalities to facilitate reprocessing and deep emotional healing.
  • Specialized Group Trauma Counseling: Designing and leading therapeutic groups focused on trauma resolution and recovery.
  • Comprehensive Assessment and Diagnosis: Conducting thorough psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments to inform individualized treatment planning and accurate diagnosis.
  • Collaborative Treatment Planning: Working closely with the multidisciplinary Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and coordinate seamless discharge planning that prioritizes sustained recovery.
  • Clinical Communication: Maintaining critical communication loops with team members, family systems, referral sources, and other service providers to ensure holistic member care.

We Would Love to Learn More About You If You Possess:

Essential Clinical Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted LPC or LCSW license.
  • Full Certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) AND/OR Certification in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy.
  • Proven clinical experience working with dual diagnosis (substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health) populations.
  • A strong foundation in the ASAM criteria for clinical decision-making and insurance review documentation.

Key Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of substance use recovery principles, including the philosophies and role of various self-help and 12-step meetings.
  • A profound commitment to trauma-informed practice in all clinical and communication interactions.
