The ideal candidate goes a step further by being a critical thinker and fast to act in emergencies.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAdminister radiation therapy treatments, including positioning patients and adjusting machinery to ensure proper treatment is received.^Monitor patients’ health during treatment to ensure they are responding well to treatment and to identify any adverse reactions to treatment.^Take and record X-rays of patients’ bodies to determine the location of tumors for radiation treatment planning.^Collect data about each patient’s condition and treatment progress, which may be used to develop new treatments or improve existing ones.^Educate patients about their treatment options and recovery time frames.^Provide emotional support to patients who are receiving treatment for cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.^Supervise technicians who assist with administering treatments.^Report any safety concerns to the appropriate staff member.^Explain the effects of radiation treatment to patients in terms of its impact on their health and wellbeing.
