Shift Manager - Lafayette

The Shift Manager supports the daily operations of the dispensary by overseeing staff, maintaining compliance, and ensuring a positive patient experience in the absence of the Store Manager. This role acts as a key holder and takes responsibility for opening and closing the store, supporting workflow, and reporting incidents or operational issues to management. This position will require some Saturday's.

Key Responsibilities:

· Open and close the dispensary following all security and compliance protocols

· Lead daily shift operations and delegate tasks to Wellness Advisors as needed

· Support patient flow, customer service, and in-store experience

· Report incidents, product issues, or staff concerns to the Store Manager

· Ensure all store procedures and regulations (including HIPAA and cannabis compliance) are followed during the shift

· Handle minor conflicts or issues and escalate as appropriate

· Assist in onboarding new staff by modeling expectations and store culture

· Maintain clean, organized, and professional retail and service areas

· Perform inventory spot checks, cash handling, and basic reporting as assigned

· Perform other duties as assigned to support dispensary operations and compliance.

Qualifications:

· Basic computer/data entry skills

· 1+ year of experience in cannabis retail, healthcare, or customer-facing leadership role required

· Proven reliability and ability to manage shift-level responsibilities

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cannabis compliance software

· Must pass a background check and be clear of felonies

· High school diploma or equivalent required
