We are looking for a skilled Financial Controller to join our team in Huntersville, North Carolina, and play a critical role in driving compliance, efficiency, and data reliability across the organization. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to enhance financial processes and reporting, ensuring a strong foundation for tracking key business performance indicators and supporting strategic decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing finance team while implementing best practices in operational finance and business partnering.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, delivering accurate and compliant financial reports in line with group requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to align with industry best practices.
• Oversee consolidation and intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Manage daily operations within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
• Drive cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives, including the implementation of automation tools to optimize financial processes.
• Ensure the integrity of balance sheets, accuracy of cash flow projections, and disciplined management of working capital.
• Develop systems and processes to produce timely, high-quality data for management reporting and financial planning and analysis.
• Provide leadership and coaching to a team of three, fostering accountability, adherence to policies, and growth through attention to detail.
• Promote collaboration and consistency across teams in different locations to streamline processes and reporting.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to local operations and manufacturing sites, ensuring accurate cost control and insightful financial support.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and standard cost accounting.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and general ledger management.
• Solid understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and their application in financial reporting.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams, driving accountability and excellence.
• Experience in implementing cost-saving measures and process automation within financial operations.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to generate actionable insights from financial data.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across multiple teams and locations.
