CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift | 13-Week Contract
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma Center. This position requires a skilled perioperative nurse with strong experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgeries in a high-acuity surgical environment.
Schedule:
- Day shift (combination of 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts)
- Shift hours vary between 6:30 AM and 11:00 PM
- Must be flexible to meet department scheduling needs
- Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care for complex cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures.
- Assist with open-heart, vascular, and endovascular surgeries.
- Maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment and collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team.
- Document patient care using EPIC.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience
- At least 2 years of cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience
- Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVOR experience
- Minimum 1 year of Level I Trauma Center experience
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact License
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC experience required
Case Experience:
- CABG
- Valve procedures
- TAVR, TEVAR, EVAR
- AAA repairs
- Heart and vascular surgeries
- Hybrid OR procedures
- LVAD/ECMO support
- Endovascular interventions and other complex cardiovascular cases
Additional Information:
- Weekend and on-call coverage required based on unit needs
