\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, focusing on patient and employee safety throughout all operations.

\n\nResponsibilities\n
    \n
  • Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
  • \n
  • Identify patient teaching needs and goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • \n
  • Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.
  • \n
  • Deliver direct patient care by utilizing the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
  • \n
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
  • \n
  • Communicate changes in patient status effectively among care providers.
  • \n
  • Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel.
  • \n
  • Contribute to a positive unit environment and engage in team building activities.
  • \n
  • Maintain communication with management regarding service needs.
  • \n
  • Assume charge responsibilities as needed following orientation.
  • \n
  • Pursue professional development and maintain competencies related to the role.
  • \n
\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
    \n
  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
  • \n
  • ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
  • \n
  • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
