First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Radiologic Technologist in Madison, Wisconsin. Operating within the nation-leading, Magnet-designated University Hospital network, this position provides care to a diverse inpatient, outpatient, and trauma patient population. 📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

\n

\n
• Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (07:00 AM - 15:30 PM), Monday through Friday. Start times vary generally between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Holiday Week Schedule Notice: On weeks where a facility holiday falls, the traveler will be assigned to a 4x10-hour shift structure.

• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
\n
• On-Call & Weekend Requirements: No regular weekend or holiday shift obligations. Active standby and call rotations are required as needed by the department.
\n
• EMR Charting System: Epic experience is preferred.
\n
• Clinical Scope & Infrastructure: Comprehensive interventional imaging delivery across 5 dedicated rooms within a 505-bed acute care teaching infrastructure. The technologist will work collaboratively with physicians and nurses using multiple modalities including Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT, and MR.
\n
• Core Competencies: Procedural responsibilities encompass sterile technique, access site prep, equipment setup, PACS maintenance, and infection control. Common procedures involve venous access (non-tunneled central lines, PICC care, port management), abdominal/pelvic interventions (chest tube, gastrostomy tube, paracentesis, thoracentesis), embolizations, IVC filter removals, inferior vena cavagrams, and TIPS.

• Imaging Equipment Profile: The department utilizes advanced GE and Siemens hardware systems.
\n

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical interventional imaging experience is required. Broad exposure to adult and geriatric populations, high-acuity trauma care, and neuro/stroke workflows is highly preferred.
\n
• Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
\n
• Licensure: Valid State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer credential must be active at submission.
\n
• Certifications Required: ARRT (R) registration and active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory (AHA cards only). ARRT (VI) certification is highly preferred.
\n
• Vaccine Guidelines: Facility mandates full compliance with standard Influenza vaccination rules (approved medical or religious exemptions are accepted). COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
