Job Description:
The RN in Labor/Delivery is responsible for providing care to patients during labor and postpartum, following AWHONN guidelines for ratios. Candidates will work in a unit with 4 L&D beds and 7 postpartum beds, and will manage patients over 35 weeks in labor as well as mom/baby couplets. This position requires 2 years of experience and includes responsibilities such as titrating drips including Magnesium, Oxytocin, and others. Fit testing is required, and facial hair may impact testing results. Scrubs are provided, and the facility offers block scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Titrate drips including Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, Zofran, etc.
- Float to MSP/ED for helping hands, mostly to sit 1:1 with patients
- Circumstances include assistance during C section under surgical team leader
Requirements:
- ACLS, BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
- Must pass fit testing if facial hair is present
- 2 years of experience required
