Express Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a 13-week travel contract at a respected hospital in Kealakekua, located on Hawaii Island.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about maternal and newborn care, and skilled in managing laboring patients, assisting with deliveries, and providing postpartum support in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs and respond to any complications.
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families on newborn care and postpartum recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Nurse Qualifications:
- Current State of Hawaii RN License
- Minimum 2 year of recent RN acute experience (within the past 24 months/2 years)
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Current TB/2-Step TB/Chest X-Ray/QUANTIFERON
- Federal FingerPrint
- N95 Fit Test
- Proof of vaccinations: MMR, TDAP, Varicella, COVID and FLU
Estimated pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Exact pay package may vary based on guaranteed hours
