\nA leading regional health system in Southern Oregon is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join its state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology team in Medford. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with a comprehensive cancer facility that opened in 2022 and features some of the most advanced radiation therapy technology in the region. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified external candidates.

Position Overview
\nAs a Radiation Therapist, you will deliver high-quality radiation treatments under the direction of Radiation Oncologists while working closely with physicians, nurses, dosimetrists, physicists, and engineering staff to provide exceptional patient care. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while utilizing advanced technology in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and individualized treatment plans \n
- Perform patient simulations and positioning with a high level of accuracy and precision \n
- Operate advanced radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and CT simulation technology \n
- Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, nursing staff, dosimetrists, physicists, and engineering teams to coordinate patient care \n
- Build and maintain supportive relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey \n
- Assist with the education of radiation therapy students and ancillary personnel as assigned \n
- Support the implementation of new treatment techniques, equipment, and patient positioning devices \n
- Monitor equipment performance and communicate machine issues with physics and engineering teams \n
Requirements
\nEducation & Experience
\n- \n
- Thorough knowledge of radiation oncology theory, treatment procedures, equipment, and patient care practices \n
Licensure & Certifications
\n- \n
- ARRT (T) Certification required \n
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiation Therapy License required upon hire \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire \n
