Job Description:
The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVOR Tech) is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, specifically in the cardiovascular operating room. This role primarily involves scrubbing for open heart, thoracic, and vascular cases, as well as cross-training into general OR when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Scrub for open heart surgeries including CABG and valve replacement.
- Assist in thoracic and vascular procedures such as thoracotomies and ECMO.
- Cross-train into general OR specialties if required.
- Ability to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours.
Requirements:
- BLS Certification.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT.
- Two years of CVOR experience.
- Must be willing to take call and work rotating holidays.
- Open to cross-training and floating within the department.
