Process Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding - Pay is Negotiable - Monroe, MI

A client of Workbox Staffing is looking for a hands-on Process Engineer with plastic injection molding experience to support their production team. This role is perfect for someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty on the plant floor while troubleshooting and optimizing molding processes.

Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding processes
Diagnose and correct issues with machines, molds, and equipment
Support new product launches and process validations
Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to improve efficiency and quality
Train operators on process adjustments and best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in plastic injection molding (process setup, troubleshooting, optimization)
Comfortable using tools and performing hands-on troubleshooting on the plant floor
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or process improvement methods preferred

Work Environment:

Combination of office and plant floor work
Hands-on role supporting production and process improvements
