Job Description
National Technology Solutions Provider partnered with Cisco, EMC / DELL, VMware, Amazon, Google and Microsoft is in growth mode and seeking a talented Sr Sales Director / Regional VP to oversee the Central US region for the firm.
Firm is poised for accelerated growth over the next 3-4 years and opportunity for upward advancement is significant.
In this role as a senior sales executive, you'll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth by selling technology products and /or services, overseeing the entire sales team in the region (including several Sales Directors), and ensuring they effectively target and acquire new customers within the technology market, often requiring a deep understanding of technical solutions and industry trends.
Key additional responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Creating and implementing a strategic sales plan aligned with company goals, identifying target markets, and developing sales tactics to penetrate the technology market.
- Team Management:
- Leading and motivating the regional sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of sales leaders to achieve sales targets.
- Market Analysis:
- Analyzing market trends, competitor landscape, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Customer Relationship Building:
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with key customers, including C-level executives, to understand their technology needs and close complex deals.
- Product Expertise:
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of the company's technology solutions, their features, benefits, and value proposition to effectively communicate them to potential clients.
- Sales Enablement:
- Providing sales teams with the necessary tools, training, and support to effectively present and sell technology solutions.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Monitoring sales performance metrics, generating accurate sales forecasts, and providing regular reports to senior leadership on sales progress.
- Partner Management:
- Collaborating with key partners OEMs to expand market reach and generate new leads.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in technology sales leadership roles, ideally with experience in selling complex solutions within the VAR space
- Deep understanding of the technology market, including emerging trends and competitor landscape.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to customers
- Strong leadership and team management abilities to motivate and develop sales teams and sales leaders
- Strong analytical skills to identify sales trends and opportunities for improvement
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales automation tools
