Position Summary:
Home Run Inn Pizza is seeking a Senior Employee Experience Partner to play a key role in supporting HR operations across our restaurants and food production facilities. This role serves as a hands-on partner for our teams, ensuring compliance, driving employee engagement, and fostering a positive work culture. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, skilled communicator, and enthusiastic about supporting both frontline and management team
This position works closely with the Director of Employee Experience and other key leaders and managers in the organization to support day-to-day HR functions.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, but must be flexible adjusting hours and working weekends based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and conflict resolution. Conduct thorough and impartial investigations, ensuring fair and consistent HR practices. Act as a trusted coach and escalation point for complex employee relations matters.
- Foster a highly engaged and motivated team culture by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the employee experience. Partner with leaders to address challenges, share insights on retention trends, and recommend strategies to strengthen engagement and reduce turnover.
- Implement HR programs that support the overall mission and strategy of the company.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Maintain knowledge of trends and changes in Human Resources legislation, and conveys local, state, and federal laws to maintain compliance.
- Manage HR documentation, file audits, and assist with policy updates.
- Coordinate unemployment claims and respond to audits.
- Collaborate with payroll team to ensure smooth pay cycles and timekeeping compliance.
- Support OSHA, FMLA, EEO, and ADA compliance across all locations.
Recruiting and Onboarding Support
- Ensure hiring managers are properly trained on all talent acquisition processes and practices. Partner with in-house recruiter to drive best results. Collaborate on job descriptions and serving as a backup or resource as needed during high-volume or special hiring efforts.
- Assist with On-boarding processes (such as pre-employment screenings and E-Verify compliance) and occasionally conduct orientations.
Training & Development
- Oversee talent development and conduct compliance training; including new manager training, policy update/awareness training, sexual harassment prevention.
- Provide guidance to leaders across the company on coaching and performance management.
Additional tasks assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably multi-site support.
- Experience in food service, hospitality, or manufacturing preferred.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly to locations across Chicagoland.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity, or similar).
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred
