Position Overview
You will play a crucial role in driving sales by assisting customers in selecting and purchasing products, providing product expertise, and delivering exceptional service to meet their building supply needs.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, understand their material requirements, and provide knowledgeable assistance on our range of building supply products.
Sales Generation: Proactively engage with customers to promote and sell fencing solutions. Utilize effective selling techniques to achieve or exceed sales targets.
Product Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our building supply products, including features, benefits, and installation specifications. Educate customers on options and recommend suitable solutions based on their project needs.
Estimates & Measurements: Accurately assess customer needs by obtaining measurements of installation areas and producing detailed and accurate estimates for materials and accessories.
Order Management: Efficiently process customer orders, ensuring accuracy in product selection, pricing, and delivery details. Coordinate closely with warehouse and logistics teams to fulfill orders promptly.
Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and cultivate long-term relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Sales and 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office is required. Previous experience in a retail or building materials environment is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic math skills.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a customer-focused mindset, and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
Capability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, and reaching.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends (as needed). (Expected Hours: No more than 40 hours per week)
