Store Salesperson

Position Summary: Store Salesperson is to assist with all operations of the paint store and store departments. Responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction, product sales, color matching & tinting, inventory management, deliveries, rentals, & help achieve sales targets. The Store Salesperson will also assist customers in the selection of paints, colors, supplies, and products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with product sales, stocking of inventory, deliveries, & assuring customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the efficiency of daily operational procedures
• Assist Store Manager with training new team members
• Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established company policies and procedures
• Assist customers over the phone and in the store with questions and orders regarding products, sprayers, and supplies
• Assist with maintaining & renting sprayers to customers
• Accurately process checks, cash, and credit card transactions
• Bill customers for sales of paints, products, sprayers, supplies, rentals, and equipment
• Prepare walk-in, phone, and online orders
• Unload and load deliveries and shipments as needed
• Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the products and services
• Ensure that customer issues are quickly and efficiently resolved
• Deliver products for retail customers, manufacturers, & contractors
• Assist with tasks around the store and shop such as stocking, cleaning, organizing, etc.
• Help with maintenance of the interior & exterior of the building & premises.
• Assist in stores or departments as scheduled or needed
• Other duties as assigned by Store Manager

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Previous paint and/or sales experience a plus
• Must be a team player and demonstrate positive teamwork skills and multitasking
• Excellent customer service skills and reliability
• Ability to coach, provide feedback, and resolve conflict.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team.
• Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, & problem-solving skills.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and accurate billing
• Ability to lift 80 pounds frequently
• High school diploma or comparable certification (GED), some college preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which can include occasional Saturdays to meet business demands.
• Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies
• Must be 18+ years of age and have valid driver's license
