Work Schedule:
- Primarily daylight hours, Monday through Friday!
- Four 10-hour shifts across the week!
- Occasional weekends included in schedule, as well as occasional on-call hours for holiday weekends and/or additional needed weekend coverage.
The Magee MRI Department specializes in women’s MRI imaging, offering access to a state-of-the-art Siemens Vida 3T MRI scanner, which has significantly enhanced our imaging quality, reduced scan times, and improved overall patient comfort! Our advanced diagnostic capabilities are tailored to the unique needs of our patient population, and our team is passionate about advancing women’s health through cutting-edge imaging technology.

Responsibilities:
- Performs all job responsibilities of an MRI Technologist Advanced, including maintaining MR and patient safety, preparing and administering contrast, completing procedures, presenting relevant information to physicians, and documenting patient information.
- Assumes the leadership role in the absence of a supervisor.
- Leads orientation and training for new hires, students, and other medical personnel.
- Assists in talent acquisition interviews for recruitment of MRI Technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
- Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.
- Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols.
- Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call-offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
- Completion of formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT or ARMRIT, or CNMT program, or accredited ARDMS program.
- 3 years of MRI experience required.
- ARRT MR or ARMRIT required.
- Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/solid performance on last performance review required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT Certificate OR ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
