Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start Dates: 10/20/2025 & 11/3/2025
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,680 - $1,800
• Clinical Setting: General Medicine, Medical-Surgical Unit (Resource Team)
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Orientation: Every other Monday
• Assignment Cancellation: Please note that the assignment may be cancelled up to 36 hours due to census fluctuations.

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• COVID/Flu vaccine declinations accepted with approved documentation
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care on a busy Medical-Surgical unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including students and new hires, in a teaching hospital environment
• Float to sister campus as needed to support clinical staffing
• Document patient care and progress using Cerner EMR
• Promote a culture of learning, teamwork, and clinical excellence
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
