Telemetry RN Job Details – Springfield, IL

• Location: Springfield, IL 62769 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Cardiac/Pulmonary (Telemetry) Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel RN contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 7, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (AM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950–$2090
• Employment Type: Travel nursing job

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse – Illinois)
• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN or on a Cardiac/Pulmonary unit
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and communication skills
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:6-7 with support from 2 unit techs
• Willingness to work every other weekend as required
• Available to start by September 8, 2025

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Cardiac/Pulmonary (Telemetry) unit
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, unit techs, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Participate in unit meetings and quality improvement initiatives
