• Unit: Tele Neuro Unit 5W (30-35 beds)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holiday required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780 - $1910
• Floating: May float to other medical-surgical units
• Interview: No interview required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIHSS certifications
• Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide provided)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including blocked weekends
• Scrub color: navy blue, white, or combination

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans
• Safely administer medications and treatments
• Monitor adult patients with CVA/TIA, peritoneal dialysis, hypertension, diabetes, and other medical-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Float to other med/surg units as needed
• Utilize Alaris pumps, LifePak, Hoyerlift, Kangaroo pumps, and PCA pumps
• Work alongside monitor techs, CNAs, and sitters to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Champion patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families throughout illness and treatment
