LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer IV

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Research Chemist IV in Maplewood. MN with a well-known industry leader. 
In this role you will be highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provide best practicing within the group.

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Research Chemist IV you will:

• Candidate to assume leadership of technical programs of major importance involving scientific research/ understanding, applied technology, and product or process innovations.
• Candidate will maintain a flow of major technical contributions such as material/product/process innovations and understandings and will document and communicate these via Records of Invention, patents, internal reports, technical presentations and/or publications.
• Identifying, planning, recommending and completing technical programs leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing and new technologies having major importance to division/staff business.
• Establish extensive intra-divisional interactions and initiate inter-divisional interactions to develop a network of support (technical, manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate completion of programs.
• Document experimental data/observations in technical notebooks (or approved electronic files), prepare reports, and make oral presentation. May also be required to provide technical supervision/management of other contingent technical workers.

 Estimated Duration up to 24+ months.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Experienced and knowledgeable in routine testing procedures, problem solving, products analysis, and equipment operation. 
• Understanding of basic concepts of measurement systems, testing, and calibration.
• Familiarity with typical PC software applications including Excel, Word, etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• BS Degree Required

Pay Rate: $34.00-35.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
