SHIFT: Weekdays (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)
Summary:
the job will be 50-50 production and testing.
Testing will include repetitive tasks.
Assembles parts of various materials such as plastic, metal, rubber to produce small products such as roller brackets, voice annunciators or subassemblies by performing the following duties.
Perform testing activities, follow simple procedures, report any unexpected behavior.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Positions parts in specified relationship to each other.
Bolts, screws, clips, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
Works at bench as member of assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and passing unit to another worker.
Loads and unloads previously setup machines such as arbor presses, drill presses, taps, spot-welding machines, riveting machines, milling machines, or broaches, to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal cutting operation on assembly line.
Works at different workstations as production needs require or shifts from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor.
Run testing procedure on machinery equipment. Follow procedures, report testing results to test supervisor. Test includes repetitive motions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma; and up to at least one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Have basic shop math skills, and ability to read and interrupt blueprints
Language Ability:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software.
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and work near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
