Position Summary:
As theResidential Lead Electrician, you will oversee and perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting on residential job sites. Youll be responsible for ensuring safety, code compliance, and project deadlines, while serving as a mentor and leader to junior electricians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage residential electrical projects from start to finish
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential electrical systems
- Ensure all work is up to NEC code and local regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades on-site
- Train and supervise apprentices and journeymen electricians
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed
- Enforce safety policies and procedures on job sites
- Provide input for job planning, material procurement, and scheduling
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License (State of Texas)
- 5+ years of experience in residential electrical work
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and train teams
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical plans
