Sentara Medical Group is seeking to hire an individual to join our team as a Patient Care Representative for Southern Virginia Orthopedics.
Position Location: South Boston, VA
Position Status: Full-time, Days
Standard Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (EST)
Overview
Responsible for registration process of new and current patients at the site. Completes check-in and check-out functions to include collection of co-pays, scheduling of appointments, and requests for medical records. Answers telephone calls and greets all patients and visitors with a smile.
Must have ability to communicate with insurance carriers and discharge planners in a professional manner. Must be enthusiastic and energetic.
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Certification/Licensure
- No specific certification or licensure
Experience
- Previous front-desk or patient care experience (Preferred)
