Position Overview:
We are seeking a Locum Medical Oncologist to join our progressive healthcare team. This opportunity offers a chance to work with both hematology and oncology patients, with a 50/50 split between the two specialties. The successful candidate will work alongside a second secured MD in a 2-week on, 2-week off rotation, providing in-person care. This is an exciting opportunity for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care to hematology and oncology patients with a mix of outpatient and inpatient needs.
• Manage 14-20 patients per day, with a focus on medical oncology, including chemotherapy and supportive care.
• Work in a 50/50 split between hematology and oncology patients.
• Collaborate with a second MD in a 2-week on, 2-week off rotation.
• Supervise and work alongside 8 RNs, 1 NP/PA, and 4 office staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Certification

Licensing Requirements:
Must be WI licensed or eligible through IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact).

Support Staff:

• 8 Registered Nurses (RNs)
• 1 NP/PA
• 4 Office Staff

EMR System: Epic

Schedule Details:

• In-person coverage required (no telehealth).
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM workday, with flexible scheduling options.
• The position follows a 2-week on, 2-week off rotation, working with a second MD.

Additional Notes:

• This search is open while we continue to recruit for a permanent provider.
• 14-20 patients per day with a focus on both hematology and oncology care.
• No telehealth – in-person coverage required.
