Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our fabrication shop team in Decatur, AL. This temp-to-perm position involves constructing and installing cable tray supports and related structures for industrial applications. Ideal candidates will have experience in metal and wood framing, blueprint reading, and working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Build and install cable tray supports according to shop drawings and specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble framing materials (wood, metal, or composite)
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Ensure structural integrity and alignment of installed supports
• Collaborate with welders, electricians, and shop supervisors
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a carpenter in industrial or commercial settings
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Skilled in using saws, drills, levels, and other carpentry tools
• Familiarity with cable tray systems and support structures is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or elevated platforms
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
