They serve as strategic partners to leadership teams, supporting organizational objectives and promoting a positive work culture.
Discipline Description
HR Business Partners perform a specialized type of HR work focused on working with business leaders to provide coaching and direction to solve people and cultural issues, expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring, termination, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, employee relations, etc. Enables business change (e.g., supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes). Serves as an HR program subject-matter expert and advocate in communicating the business value of HR initiatives and managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption.
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Provide comprehensive support, direction and leadership in the implementation and maintenance of human resources programs and practices in support of a Business Unit. HR programs and practices encompass areas such as compensation, talent acquisition, workforce development, policy, and benefits.
Assess and anticipate HR needs, contribute to organizational design, and implement HR initiatives.
Analyze key HR related metrics to identify trends, offer actionable insights, and support decision-making.
Lead special projects and provide guidance and support for day-to-day operations.
Serve as a trusted advisor or Subject Matter Expert (SME) to managers, leaders, and employees on HR-related matters.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

- Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Use of HRMS (i.e. PeopleSoft and Applicant Tracking Systems)
- Supporting multiple customers, consistently meeting deadlines
- Successfully managing and resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in multiple HR disciplines such as compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and performance management is a plus.
Experience providing HR related support in a complex industrial environment is a plus.
