Job Description

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education:

o bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field

o OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Software Testing role

• Technical Proficiency:

o Strong programming skills in C# or Java

o Familiarity with .NET framework/.NET Core

o Experience testing all layers of web applications (front-end, service layer, back-end)

o Proficient with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

o Ability to write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures

o Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins for automation and manual testing infrastructure

o Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)

o Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and testing strategies

o Knowledge of Risk Management and Risk Analysis

Required Skills and Experience

• Testing Expertise:

o Proficient in API testing, regression, UAT, manual, and automated testing

o Design, manage, and maintain an automation test framework

o Experience executing test cases and logging/tracking bugs using test management tools

o Utilize Ranorex for test automation

o Generate detailed test reports and track test plans using SpiraTeam

o Perform load and performance testing, with ability to analyze results and identify root causes

• Development and Automation:

o Develop and maintain reusable automation libraries and scripts

o Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployment and support CI/CD pipelines

o Implement branching strategies and handle merge conflicts using TortoiseGit

o Conduct pull requests and perform code reviews

o Experience with version control tools and automation integration

• Process and Collaboration:

o Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to resolve issues and gather enhancement requests

o Work with Agile methodologies including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

o Document findings, strategies, and procedures on Azure DevOps Wiki

o Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

o Contribute to release management and troubleshooting support

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business and Technical teams to ensure the successful deployment of fully tested software

• Support and maintain the new ecosystem of business license management applications during and after implementation

• Collect and report quality metrics from test executions

• Support Engineering, Release Management, and Customer Support in diagnosing and resolving issues

• Write technical documentation identifying any technical deficiencies

• Lead and contribute to automation planning and test strategy execution
