As a Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) Support Specialist, you’ll be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities will include providing skill-building services to children and families experiencing mental health or behavioral challenges. In short, our BHIS Support Specialist will help clients improve functioning, promote recovery, and build resilience through structured interventions delivered in homes, schools, and community settings.

Someone who:

• Has a positive and reliable work ethic
• Holds experience working with children and families
• Provides direct support and skill-building in communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and behavior management
• Collaborates effectively with therapists, families, and community partners

Qualifications

Qualifications

Do you think you’d be a good fit for this role? Ideally, you are:

• A bachelor’s degree holder in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field (lived experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Experienced in providing direct support services to children and families (1+ year preferred)
• Familiar with child development, family functioning, and the child welfare system
• At least 21 years old
• Skilled in documentation and able to meet Medicaid and agency compliance standards

Bonus Points

• Experience in crisis intervention or group facilitation
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of community resources and family support systems
