Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine, in collaboration with a reputable health care provider, is seeking full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Neurologists to enhance our expanding Pediatrics Department. This facility is at the forefront of establishing a pediatric residency program, supported by an exceptional team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering outstanding medical education and patient care. Job Responsibilities:- Assess and treat pediatric patients requiring neurological care, both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate actively in our new pediatric residency program, contributing to the education of residents and medical students.
- Engage in teaching opportunities and foster positive learning environments.
- Involvement in research and academic pursuits with designated time for scholarly activities.
- Provide high-quality clinical care utilizing a vast primary care referral network covering over 20 counties.
- Participate in leadership activities; opportunities for a leadership role available for qualified candidates.
- Interpret EEG and sleep studies as part of clinical services.
- Embrace flexibility to adapt in order to meet the needs of candidates and the program's success.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with a Special Qualification in Child Neurology.
- Completion of fellowship training in Child Neurology prior to start date.
- Strong clinical skills and keen interest in pediatric teaching and research.
- Excellence in patient care and communication.
- Desire to contribute positively to community health initiatives.
- Active Michigan medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Controlled Substance License (CSR/CDS) or willingness to acquire.
- DEA registered (must be obtained before starting the position).
- Demonstrated interest and experience in scholarly activities.
