Recruit, train, and mentor staff who share a passion for cycling and top-tier customer experiences.
Provide ongoing coaching, set clear performance goals, and conduct regular check-ins.
Foster a positive, inclusive culture that values accountability, initiative, and shared success.
2. Store Operations & Financial Oversight
Manage budgets, sales forecasts, and operational costs to meet or exceed targets.
Develop and enforce SOPs to mitigate risks (e.g., payment fraud, cash handling, inventory loss).
Track and analyze KPIs (e.g., daily sales, conversion rates) to optimize performance.
3. Customer Experience & Brand Representation
Ensure the team maintains expert-level knowledge of product lines, from high-end road bikes to custom mountain bike builds.
Oversee visual merchandising, store presentation, and service quality, reflecting 2 Peaks Bikes’ premium brand and culture.
Develop in-store events and community outreach strategies to engage local riders and grow loyalty.
4. Inventory & Vendor Management
Maintain optimal inventory levels using Lightspeed POS (or similar), coordinating with mechanics and vendors on incoming stock, special orders, and promotions.
Stay current on new product launches and trends, ensuring the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
5. Risk Management & Procedures
Implement checks and balances to prevent fraudulent transactions and minimize returns or breakage.
Ensure compliance with California labor laws, safety standards, and internal store policies.
6. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with owners on strategic planning, quarterly targets, and store initiatives.
Liaise with the marketing team to plan promotional campaigns, group rides, demos, and events.
Support overall brand strategy—both in-store and online—by capturing insights from riders and ensuring consistent messaging.
Qualifications
2+ years of retail management experience (required).
Solid track record of driving sales, managing budgets, and meeting KPI goals.
Demonstrated leadership in building, supervising, and retaining high-performing teams.
Familiarity with POS systems (Lightspeed a plus), inventory control, scheduling, and basic reporting.
Passion for Cycling: Knowledge of bike components, maintenance basics, and/or a desire to learn high-end specs.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable engaging with high-end clientele.
Flexible to work some weekends, holidays, or after-hours events, especially during peak riding seasons.
Company Overview
2 Peaks Bikes is a high-end bicycle shop in Los Angeles, dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience for passionate riders—whether they’re commuting, crushing trails, or chasing podiums. We have locations in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and are bringing to California our style of curating premium bike lines, accessories, and apparel, providing top-tier service and fostering a friendly, inclusive vibe that keeps riders coming back.
We believe a bike shop should be more than a point of sale: it’s a community hub, a place to learn and share the stoke for all things cycling. We’ve built a culture on authenticity, expertise, and respect for the lifestyle our customers embrace.
