Floor Supervisor’s Key Responsibilities

A floor supervisor oversees the daily operations of production floor. Responsible for a variety of tasks, including staff supervision and training, quality control and maintaining a safe and efficient environment. 

Staff Supervision:

Floor supervisors are responsible for training, and supervising employees within their designated area. This includes monitoring performance, providing feedback to GM, and addressing any issues that arise. 

They ensure that daily tasks are completed efficiently and that all company :-y policies and procedures are followed. 

Floor supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all employees, addressing safety concerns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. 

Training and Development:

Floor supervisor provides initial and ongoing training and helps staff develop their skills. 

Quality Control:

Using written paper documents (no computer is necessary) log daily production runs to record inspection of parts. Inspect, count and sign off on parts produced throughout the day.

Back up Maintenance Tech when needed:

Open and close the plant during Maintenance Tech absence and assist when needed.

Requires basic understanding of mechanical components and electrical systems using hydraulic and pneumatic machinery. Must operate a forklift when needed.
