Job Description & Requirements

Shift:
Working 3-12 hours Mon thru Wed with call.
Work Experience:
- Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.
- Produces images of internal body tissues in order to diagnose and monitor a variety of conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy and cancer.
- Supervises and mentors ultrasound personnel. Maintains equipment.
License: Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Sonography License: Required in OR
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR Certification.
- ACR Accredited Sites: All sonographers must be certified and currently registered in at least two (2) of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS): Required: Required in OR
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
- Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) or ARRT-Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S): Required
