ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for determining short and long-range objectives, ensuring assigned projects or deadlines are accomplished, and working with the Plant Manager in meeting plant goals and objectives. Management activities the implementation of plant policies and procedures, enforcement of company policies and procedures, coordination of daily work units, budgets, producing quality product and coaching, development and discipline of team members. Support and maintain the plant safety program through day-to-day safety contacts with employees and department safety meetings, ensure assigned work areas are safe and safety requirements are observed.
WHAT YOULL ACCOMPLISH
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
- Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.Responsible for supervising safe and efficient operation and performance of crew and for ensuring that the equipment is kept neat and in good working order Review operational control policies and procedures, update to current standard and communicate with effected departments and employees.
- Ensure consistent and efficient operation among production supervisors and shift supervisors, including coaching and training.
- Manage equipment failure and process upset conditions to minimize cost and downtime.
- Ensures that Company policies and protocols are followed; report all violations of policies, or violations.Manages labor, reporting anticipated shortages; directs teams in daily operations, providing training.
- Conducts monthly drills and safety meetings in accordance with company policy; conduct quarterly spill drills.
- Maintain environmental compliance at all times, taking action as necessary to operate within facility permitted limits.
- Works in conjunction with Quarry Manager to track performance against established objectives and takes immediate corrective action to assure goals are realized.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or Bachelors degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business, Geology, Construction Management/Technology
Required Work Experience: Autocad, Google Workspace / Micorsoft Office
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved
Personal Protection Equipment, including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
