We’re looking for a detail-oriented Aircraft Avionics Technician to join our expanding team. If you enjoy hands-on work, technical problem-solving, and collaborating with other aviation professionals, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems in Cirrus and other general aviation aircraft.
- Build, terminate, and test custom wiring harnesses for Garmin, Avidyne, and related systems.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals accurately.
- Perform 14 CFR 91.411 and 91.413 pitot-static and transponder certifications in accordance with FAA requirements.
- Conduct system checks, calibrations, and functional testing of avionics components.
- Modify and upgrade existing aircraft wiring and avionics configurations as needed.
- Interface directly with avionics customers to provide updates, explain work performed, and ensure exceptional service.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with FAA Part 145 Repair Station requirements.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely project completion and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Desired 2 years of avionics installation or repair experience (Cirrus experience preferred).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and pinout charts.
- Skilled in building and testing wiring harnesses and performing continuity checks.
- Experience performing pitot-static and transponder testing and certification (91.411/91.413).
- Familiarity with Garmin and/or Avidyne avionics systems strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of general aviation maintenance practices and FAA regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
