Maintenance Technician

Summary:

The purpose of the Maintenance Tech is to be responsible for performing machine/building maintenance and supporting plant operations in the production area. 

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Assesses and prioritizes all maintenance work to be performed on assigned site
• Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materials
• Completes daily work schedules for routine maintenance duties
• Completes maintenance work orders as assigned
• Ensures quality of work duties performed
• Notifies Maintenance Manager and Property Owner of all problems and potential issues of concern
• Cleans all common areas and responsible for trash removal
• Performs necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assigned
• Handles emergency situations that may arise and communicates all details of the incident to the Property Manager
• Performs all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipment
• General maintenance experience includes painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.
• Maintains a professional and courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
• Perform machine modification and mechanical repairs on equipment as required
• All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must ensure the accuracy of information and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: A high school diploma or GED is necessary for this position. The candidate should possess the capability to acquire proficiency in operating calipers, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to this essential tool. Furthermore, the individual should be capable of executing basic set-up functions on machinery, showcasing hands-on competence in machine operations. Additionally, a crucial skill set includes the ability to read and interpret various documents such as prints, production orders, safety rules, as well as operating and maintenance instructions. This multifaceted skill combination is vital for successful performance in the specified role.
