Material Coordinator II - Material Planning and Control

Job Title: Material Coordinator
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 Year (possible extension)
Location: Horicon, WI 53032
Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Role Overview:
Coordinates material flow across multiple factory departments, ensuring production schedules are met and inventory is accurate. Supports material planning, inventory management, and problem resolution, working with cross-functional teams. May supervise or direct hourly material handlers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate procurement, expediting, and delivery of materials across departments.
• Manage movement of rejected materials and ensure accurate inventory.
• Identify root causes of material shortages and provide solutions.
• Utilize Master Schedule for daily production schedules; process inbound/outbound material transactions.
• Audit material replenishment cycles and resolve inventory errors.
• Work critical shortage reports to maintain part availability.
• Implement engineering release and change management outputs.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:

• Manufacturing concepts: Demand Flow, Kanban, JIT, Lean Manufacturing
• Data collection, analysis, and problem-solving
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Issue resolution and cross-functional collaboration
• SAP experience (Warehouse, Inventory Control, Materials Management) preferred

Qualifications:

• Recent graduates (0–2 years) considered; must be computer savvy
• Experience in manufacturing or material planning environments preferred
• Ability to work weekends/overtime as needed
• Experience with Deere Production System and unionized workforce a plus
