Job Summary:
The Work Area Lead will be responsible for overseeing a small sub-area of a large distribution center, ensuring employee training, inventory accuracy, and daily order fulfillment quality. This role is crucial in achieving daily shipping targets across retailer and stock transfer orders. Candidates must be able to work during the Thanksgiving and holiday peak period, including weekends from November 22 through December 12, with potential for full-time conversion.
- Assign employees to workstations and ensure staffing meets operational goals.
- Ensure team members hit productivity goals and escalate issues to supervisors when needed.
- Prioritize and delegate workloads based on daily pickup times.
- Train new employees on safety procedures and departmental work instructions.
- Inspect and audit orders or finished goods for accuracy and quality, utilizing systems where appropriate.
- Provide a quality standard for order handlers and material handlers to follow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies; escalate complex issues to supervisors.
- Lead investigations of issues impacting KPIs and assist with root cause analysis.
- Assist supervisors with random audits and process verifications to support zero-defect goals.
- Perform clerical duties including recordkeeping, reporting, and daily performance recaps to management.
- Input information into computer systems and maintain operational documentation.
- Follow all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- 1st Shift (7:00am–3:30pm): 2 positions
- 2nd Shift (4:00pm–12:30am): 5 positions
- 3rd Shift (10:30pm–6:30am): 5 positions (cannot start 3rd shift until 11/9)

- Night Shift Manager: Vlad Jean
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of distribution or quality coordination experience.
- Proven leadership ability in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Prior work in fast-paced fulfillment or logistics operations.
- Experience leading teams during seasonal or peak volume periods.
- Team leadership and training
- Warehouse safety and GMP compliance
- Inventory control and order accuracy
- SAP or warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency
- Root cause analysis and process auditing
- Troubleshooting skills
- Time management and multitasking
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
