\n\nOpportunity:
\nRN - Med Surg/Observation
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• 36 guaranteed hours per week
\n• 13-week assignment
\n• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
\n• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
\n• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments as needed
\n• Unit may low census in 4-hour increments and may ask traveler to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
\n• 8-bed observation unit with a patient ratio of 1:4
\n• Care for patients with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI cases, with average patient stay up to 48 hours
\n• Administer drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin
\n• High volume of admissions and discharges
\n• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips required; EKG exam required during compliance
\n• Minimum 3 years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment required
\n• EPIC charting experience required
\n• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC); NIHSS highly preferred
\n• Associate Degree or Certificate required
\n• Must reside outside 50 miles from facility
\n• Scrub colors: any color
