This is a 13-week contract position.

\n\nSchedule\n

12-Hour Night Shift. A minimum of every other weekend is required, with adjustments to the schedule as needed for unit and patient care.

\n\nJob Description\n

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit. The ideal candidate will have prior travel nursing experience, preferably within larger teaching facilities, and a strong background in nursing. The position entails providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare providers, and managing the complexities of surgical and neurosurgical unit practices.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the surgical and neurosurgical unit.
\n
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Use Epic software for patient documentation and management.
\n
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Must have a valid nursing license and relevant certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start).
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of unit experience in a similar setting is required.
\n
• Recent Epic experience (within the last 2 years) is non-negotiable.
\n
• Experience in a large, teaching facility is preferred.
\n
