OR Tech – First Assist Job Details

• Location: Clarksville, TN (zip 37040) – Tennessee healthcare jobs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1470–$1580 per week
• Setting: Operating Room (First Assist)
• Job Type: Travel contract
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• End Date: February 9, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 4 shifts/week, 10-hour days (06:45–17:15)
• Call Schedule: Two weekday evening calls (5p–7p) and one overnight call (5p–7a) per week; weekend call (5p Friday–7a Monday) every 6 weeks
• Holiday Requirement: One holiday during assignment
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Number of Beds: 12
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scrubs: Provided

Qualifications for OR Tech – First Assist

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
• Certified First Assistant (ASA or NBSTSA) – required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical scrub tech or OR Tech
• Documented First Assist experience in the operating room
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the Clarksville facility
• Travelers must submit all required documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons as a First Assist during operative procedures in the OR
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and equipment
• Perform surgical scrub duties and manage surgical instruments
• Participate in scheduled call rotation
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols in the operating room
