Job Description:

Title: Surgical Scrub Technician

Reports to: OR Coordinator

Main Function:

The Surgical Scrub Technician (or Certified Surgical Scrub Technician) is a member of the surgical team who works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other surgical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. The technician assumes appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Education / Licensure / Certification Requirements Required: • One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: • NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technician or equivalent certification.
